The service
MyGameMaster is an app, published by Thibault Barske EI, in which you live interactive stories, alone or with friends. By creating an account, you accept these terms.
Playing at a table you are invited to costs nothing. What can be bought in the app — the Supporter subscription, the Member subscription and credits — is described in the terms of sale, shown before any purchase; nothing is ever charged without your explicit agreement.
Your account
- You must be 13 or over to create an account.
- To create your account, you accept these terms and the privacy policy, and you declare that you are 13 or over.
- You sign in with a code received by email, a passkey, Apple or Google. Keeping access to your mailbox means keeping access to your account. Keep your access to yourself: what is done from your account is done in your name.
- An invitation code lets a friend join your table. Share it only with the people you invite.
- You can delete your account at any time, as explained on the Delete my account page.
When you ask to delete your account, it is first archived for eight days: the other players no longer see it, your nickname shows as “A player who left”, and no processing reads it. Signing in again before the end of those eight days, or the “Keep my account” button in the email we send you, cancels the deletion. After eight days, your account is erased for good and an email confirms it. Our encrypted backups keep a copy for forty days at most after the erasure, at OVH, in France and Germany, with no transfer outside the European Union. A voice, portrait or image erased with an account disappears from our storage for good thirty-one days at most after its erasure.
Stories told by artificial intelligence
The stories, voices and images of MyGameMaster are generated automatically by an artificial intelligence system, from your choices and those of the other players at your table. They can be inaccurate, unexpected or inconsistent, and they are always fiction: nothing they say is advice or a statement of fact.
Playing fair
When you play, you agree not to:
- write anything illegal, hateful or harassing, or any sexual content involving minors;
- use the stories to target a real person;
- try to divert the storyteller from its role, get around its protections, or automate your play;
- spoil the game for the other players at your table.
Reporting and moderation
We tolerate no objectionable content and no abuse: nothing illegal, hateful, harassing or sexual involving minors, and no abusive behaviour towards other players. An account that does so is restricted or closed.
Our protections filter what the storyteller generates and what players declare. If something gets through, flag it from the app: the Table tab has a “Flag inappropriate content” button for a passage of the story, its illustration or its voice, and for another player’s character. The table creator can remove a player from it, and any player can block an abusive player.
We handle every flag within 24 hours. You can also flag content by writing to contact@mygamemaster.fr, saying what the problem is and where it happened. If we restrict an account or remove content, we tell the person concerned why, and they can contest it by replying.
What you write
What you write stays yours. You allow us to store it, show it to the players at your table and send it to our providers, only to run and improve the service. Your private thoughts are never shown to the other players.
Stories and universes
The prepared stories, their universes, the MyGameMaster name and logo belong to Thibault Barske EI. You may freely use the texts, images and voices generated during your games for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as sharing a memorable moment with friends.
Suspension
If an account seriously breaks these terms, we may suspend or close it. Except in an emergency, such as a danger to other players, we warn the person first and explain why.
Availability and responsibility
MyGameMaster is a young service: we do our best to keep it available, but interruptions can happen, especially at launch. We remain responsible for our own faults, as the law provides; nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
Changes and disputes
If these terms change, we tell you in the app before the change applies. These terms are governed by French law.
In case of disagreement, write to us first: most problems are solved by talking. If we cannot agree, you can turn to the consumer mediator free of charge: to be completed: consumer mediator, designated before the app is released. You can also go to the competent court.
