Delete my account
How to delete your MyGameMaster account, with or without the app.

Draft under review: the highlighted passages are waiting for information before publication.
In the app
Open MyGameMaster, then Profile › Delete my account. The app asks you to prove it is you again, shows what will be deleted and what will stay, then asks you to confirm.
If you created tables where others are still playing, you choose for each one, before confirming, a player to take it over or to close it.
Without the app
No need to reinstall it: enter the email address of your account in the form on this page. We send it a link, valid for one hour, that asks you to confirm the deletion.
From the site, tables you created where others are still playing go to the player who has been seated there the longest. To choose yourself, delete your account from the app.
If you no longer have access to that mailbox, write to contact@mygamemaster.fr.
What is deleted, and when
When you ask to delete your account, it is first archived for eight days: the other players no longer see it, your nickname shows as “A player who left”, and no processing reads it. Signing in again before the end of those eight days, or the “Keep my account” button in the email we send you, cancels the deletion. After eight days, your account is erased for good and an email confirms it. Our encrypted backups keep a copy for forty days at most after the erasure, at OVH, in France and Germany, with no transfer outside the European Union. A voice, portrait or image erased with an account disappears from our storage for good thirty-one days at most after its erasure.
- Deleted: your account, your device sessions, your sign-in methods, your characters and their sheets, your private thoughts (the analysis journal of a table you leave to other players keeps its private thoughts until its limited time runs out), your voices, your private universes, except one on which a table you leave to other players relies: it stays attached to that table, without your name.
- Kept for the other players: what you shared with a table (the story told, its images), under the name “A player who left”; a private universe on which a table you leave to others relies, attached to that table, without your name.
- Encrypted backups keep a copy for forty days at most after the erasure, in France and Germany.
- Files: your voices, your characters’ portraits and the images of your private universes are erased at the same time, at the end of the eight days, when they concern no other player — a table you played alone, or a table whose other players have all deleted their account. Otherwise they stay with the table or the universe that other players still use, without your name. A voice, portrait or image erased with an account disappears from our storage for good thirty-one days at most after its erasure.
- Technical logs disappear on their own after 30 days.
- Your IP address is written in the access log of our web proxy with each request, to protect the service against abuse; this log is kept for 30 days, then erased.
Deletion is final eight days after your confirmation.
Your subscription and your credits
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it in the Play Store or in the App Store, or it keeps renewing. The app never cancels a subscription.
During the eight days of archive, your subscription and your credits stay on your account, unused: signing in again keeps your account and gives them back. When your account is erased for good, your credits are lost.
The waitlist
The waitlist is separate from your account: to leave it, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails.
Nothing is recorded before you open the confirmation link, which expires after 48 hours. Once you confirm, your address, its language and the dates of your sign-up and confirmation are kept in our own database, at Ikoula in France, and in its encrypted backups at OVH, in France and Germany, and nowhere else. They stay there until you unsubscribe — your address is then erased within a day, and from our backups forty days at most after the erasure — or until we close this list: your address is then erased unless you are subscribed to another of our lists.
